Colour is an important part of life it stimulates and guides or moods
and emotions.
Selecting the correct colours and paint effects for your project can be
a daunting task without suitable guidance from a professional.
We can help you choose a suitable colour scheme based on related or complementary
colours which will make any room feel fresh and new again.
Try out our colour wheel
opposite to show you how the relationship between the different
colours affects the overall style and feel of a room.
Select by clicking on primary, secondary, related, complementary
or neutral colours and see how they relate to one another.
Click on primary, secondary, related, complementary
or neutral colours above to view their relationships to each other
on the colour wheel.
Related colours
are those next to one another on the colour wheel. Designers often build
colour schemes around two or three related colours.
Complementary colours
are located opposite each other on the colour wheel. Blue, for example,
is the complement of orange. Complementary colours enhance each other in
decorating schemes.
Neutral colours
are shades of white, grey or beige. Most neutrals are tinted slightly
with a warm or cool colour. Neutral-coloured walls provide a backdrop
that does not compete with furnishings and accessories.
